Polyamide

Polyamide (PA) blown films, also called nylon, are used as a protective layer in multilayer films. Although PA has its own process conditions and characteristics and is completely different from other materials in other layers, it is used in multilayer films. PA, for example, has a higher processing temperature (generally more than 500 ° C, melt temperature = 480-360 ° F, 250-180 ° C). Therefore, the extrusion system, especially the die, must be designed to provide adequate temperature control for the output of each layer. PA is also a moisture-proof material that absorbs moisture from the air. Therefore, it must be thoroughly dried before use.
Some special monolayer blowing films are also produced from PA. For example, high-temperature films used for packaging composite materials are of this type.
