🔹Mohammadreza Saeedi, CEO of the Social Security Investment Company (SSIC), has officially appointed Rouhollah Shahidipour as the new CEO of the Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Investment Company (TAPICO), following approval by TAPICO’s board of directors.
🔹Shahidipour holds a degree in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from Sharif University of Technology, as well as a Ph.D. in Management with a specialization in Science and Technology Policy from the University of Tehran.
🔹He previously served as Deputy for Strategic Planning and Investment at SSIC and brings over 22 years of executive experience in the oil, gas, petrochemical, and chemical industries. His academic portfolio includes authoring specialized articles and books, along with leading dozens of research and analytical projects in these sectors.
🔹His managerial background includes roles such as Deputy for Strategic Planning and Investment at SSIC, Director General of Budgeting and Performance Evaluation at Tehran Municipality, CEO of Danesh-Pajouhan Novavar Management Consulting, board member of the Association of Research-Based and Knowledge-Based Oil, Gas, and Petrochemical Companies, and various planning and development positions in both public and private enterprises.
🔹Key leadership qualities that led to his unanimous appointment include: mastery of holding-level strategy, ability to steer diverse subsidiaries toward overarching goals, decision-making and problem-solving in complex and high-risk economic environments, effective networking and stakeholder engagement, expertise in portfolio optimization and asset management, and strong organizational leadership and talent development skills.
🔹During his roughly one-year tenure at SSIC, Shahidipour achieved notable milestones by crafting macro strategies focused on investment, divestment, portfolio optimization, asset productivity, prioritization of development projects, and systematizing budget planning.
🔹Born in 1978 in Ahvaz, Shahidipour’s managerial, academic, and technical background positions him to play a pivotal role in advancing TAPICO’s development goals and strengthening its presence in Iran’s oil, gas, and petrochemical industries.
