Faravard Qeshm Chemical Company was established in 1995 in Qeshm Free Zone by the Petrochemical Industries Investment Company with the aim of public participation in the petrochemical industry. The main activity of this company is the production of polyethylene products. Most of the shares (ownership) of this company is in the possession of investment companies of petrochemical and gas pipeline industries, which are also members of the large group of investment company of the Social Security Organization, a small part of the shares are in the possession of other individuals and legal entities. The purpose of establishing this company and the companies of the Social Security Organization (Shasta) Investment Company Group is to support the provision of future expenses of the mentioned organization from the profitability of these collections.
At present, the company operates with the following two factories:
Mahshahr: Production of three-layer polyethylene film with an annual capacity of 4,000 tons, shrink three-layer polyethylene film with an annual capacity of 3,000 tons and plastic or wood-plastic pallets with an annual capacity of 7,000 tons
Qeshm: Production of polyethylene tanks with an annual capacity of 300 tons
